Polly's Handbag

Oh dear.... almost two months since my last share here.... I guess that means I haven't been stitching new patterns!

Actually I have, I just haven't gotten around to creating the pdf files to share here.  Anyway, digging through my computer files I found this file to share with you.... not the greatest picture of the finished card, though, sorry about that! I'm starting to think that the reason I held off on sharing this one, is that I needed to better photograph of the card to share!

I used DMC threads for this car, in gold and a varigated pink, as well as acrylic pearls as accents.  The handle, is a simple string of pearls.  It hangs loose on the card, and adds a nice gentle movement when the card is opened.

Just a single colour matt, and a sweet corner punch was used to finish.

If you create anything with my pattern, do link your work back to this post, or drop me an email.... I'd love to see your creation!

Hats off!

What lady doesn't wear a hat!  This is another card stitched some time ago, and has been done in various colours.  As a good seller on my market stall, it has been beaded, paper or fabric flowers added too... it reminds me of the good old days (yes, the days when ladies wore hats, and it was before I was born1).

Lady Loves Shoes...

This is a pattern created a few years back.  This card was stitched a few years ago (it's on my main blog somewhere!). Quite simply, beads and stitching.   Then mounted into a card. I've sold quite a few of these in various colours on my market stall - especially around Mother's Day.

This is a pattern I created back in 2004.  This card was stitched a few years ago (it's on my main blog somewhere!) I beaded and stitched the figure, and chalked her features, as well as the background.  The image is edged in brown chalk ink, and mounted on black gloss and olive card.

It is a simple pattern, and my pdf file also suggests a few different ways of creating her necklaces.  Hopefully the link to the host site will work.... if you print the pdf A4 or US Letter paper size, the pattern will be full card size - just cut it out and stitch!

Getting Ready...

I've just opened a mediafire account, so that I can upload/store my patterns, which are all  pdf files.  Of course it's limited storage, so when I hit 200meg of patterns, I'll be looking again... if anyone has any great suggestions for free online storage for my docs, I'd be greatly appreciative to hear of them!

So onward and upward, here come my patterns!

Hey there!

Hi! I've created a new blog for my stitching cards - not because they are the only cards I do, but because I wanted somewhere online where I could access patterns quickly, and so they didn't clog up my other blog.

I will post cards here as well, but they will be mostly stitched cards .... any other cards, scrapbook layouts and jewellery I create can be seen at my blog here....stay tuned, and thanks for visiting!
